Damage Control

I’m writing this because my Health&Fitness journey is pretty much nonexistent right now. Ya girl has put on some pounds since she moved out and I am NOT here for this “adulting/I’m stressed” weight. I’m just not. I have been feeling like a CHUNK-A-MUNK all month and I am OVER IT. I say that… but I am sitting here eating Crunch’nMunch for breakfast as I type. LOL at least I am drinking water. #BALANCE
I can usually keep a pretty good grip on my weight, but my metabolism is not as fast as it was in college and my hormones are trying to hold me back. ON TOP of the legitimate stress and exhaustion from work and school. Getting up at 5am be super dead most mornings. I love fruit and veggies, but balling out in Publix on produce is not always doable because of how REAL retail therapy is for me. SMH. But I know I just have to get back in a routine.
I know some people are reading this like, “Meg you are already so small though”. I know! I am 5’2 so I can’t be letting myself go. I know how excess weight distributes itself on my body. My face is bigger… my clothes are fitting tighter… I have NEW cellulite. Like no. I am almost 10 lbs. away from my norm. 10lbs! And none of it is muscle. That’s not cute to me. IDC.
So, I have decided to do about 5-6 weeks of Damage Control. I really only need 2 weeks to get back down to 125lbs. but I need to get back in the habit of making healthier decisions. I don’t have anything coming up so DAMAGE, DAMAGE CONTROL (skipping some meals) won’t be necessary. I am going to slim down the healthiest and most effective ways that I know how.
I am probably going to do a 3-day fruit cleanse at the beginning of next week since I was on antibiotics (yes, again) last month. And a 7-day Water Challenge. So, stay tuned for that on my Instagram and Snapchat Stories. But other than that, leading up to Halloween… this is the game plan.
Operation: Damage Control
STOP overeating/eating just because
No Fast Food
Cut back on sweets/ artificial sugar
Snack on fruit
SN: People like to argue that we shouldn’t be eating too much fruit BUT it is NATURAL sugar and my body processes it just fine.
Make sure each meal has some nutritional value
96 oz. of water/day
Salad = BFF
Herbal Tea
Working Out
SN: I love cardio but I need to be doing more weight resistance so we will see how my gym time goes. I will be aiming for at least 5 days out of the week. 5am.
*** I still don’t drink forreal and I barely eat meat sooo I’m just going to keep that up lol
